Asian PS: Market remains flat amid subdued demand- HIPS drops $10-15/mt in a week- Upstream SM drops $27-32/mt in a weekAsia polystyrene markets remained flat
during the week ending June 7. Only HIPS saw a $10 drop in CFR China and CFR
Southeast Asia. HIPS
CFR China was down $10/mt from the previous week to $1,195/mt, and HIPS
Southeast Asia was down $10/mt for the same period at $1230/mt, both on June 7. Similar to last week, domestic prices for GPPS have been
heard at around Yuan 8,200-8,500/mt. This is approximately $957-$992/mt when
viewed in terms of import-parity. HIPS
prices were reported to be between Yuan 8,800 and 9,000/mt. This equates $1,027
to $1,050/mt on import-parity basis, a decrease of Yuan 100 to 300/mt
