Prices of propylene continued to rise on Oct. 23. They gained $5/mt per day, reaching $865/mt CIF China. Demand from China's key market is driving buying activity and defying expectations that the market would be in a downward trend. It was reported that a South Korean parcel had been traded at $865/mt CFR China, for delivery in November. Details of the transaction were not available at the time this article was written.
