On February 5, propylene CFR China and FOB South Korea were stable for the day, at $870/mt et $850/mt. The tight supply in South Korea continues due to maintenance that is currently taking place and will take place in the near future in several production plants. A producer said that the South Korean market was still tight in March as producers face challenges to fulfill term contract volumes for February and march. He expects prices to rise with a firmer trend. Multiple sources confirmed tight market conditions in South Korea.
