The Asian propylene market was stable on the day May 24, asa lack of pricing clarity was exacerbated by recent fluctuations inChinese domestic prices, according to sources.Supply-demand conditions were largely unchanged withno significant push or pull factors, limiting room for upward ordownward movements.With propylene derivatives facing weak end demand andsqueezed production margins, there will be a stronger inclinationto hold back procuring any spot supply, sources said.However, as producers were also seeing pressure on theirmargins, there was reluctance to lower offers, particularly amidlittle spot imported cargo availability, they added."There's barely any trade discussion this week, marketparticipants are not keen to take position now," a trader said.In data news, China's propylene imports in April were at152,202 mt, down 13% on the month and up 12% from the sameperiod last year, latest customs...
