In the week ending Nov. 8, Asian propylene was priced differently due to an abundance of supply. According to sources on the market, CFR China remained steady Nov. 8, despite traders struggling with high inventories, which have exacerbated price declines in recent weeks. A trader stated that "additional Southeast Asian supply to East China has further weighed down on market prices." According to a buyer, downstream producers in South Korea are still facing challenges because of weak demand. This is preventing the market from recovering. A producer stated that despite the weak market conditions in South Korea, several PDHs will be closed early next year to perform maintenance.
