propylene market trended lower on the week as growing spot availability added
pressure on spot prices. At 4:30 pm Singapore time, the May ICE Brent crude oil
futures contract was down $0.77/b from the previous Asian close at $75.63/lb at
0830 GMT. With lower propane feedstock cost, some Chinese PDH operators have
increased their run rate. Growing domestic supply also dragged down domestic
prices. Propylene prices in Shandong were down Yuan 95/mt on the day and hit
Yuan 6,905/mt ex-tank and this comes in at $884/mt CFR China East China
