US Propylene Spot PGP falls on the day due to lower trading activity / Market structure unchanged despite price decline / Propane prices continue to fall

US propylene spot price dropped by 1.25 cents on Sept. 4. The trades heard at this level following the Market on Close assessment on Sept. 3 were in line. The same trend was followed in October, maintaining the market structure of backwardation. According to historical data, this is the first time since August 2 that prices were assessed below 50 cents/lb. It is expected that spot prices will drop in the month ahead due to a rebound in supply. Enterprise propane was 72.375 cents/gal on Sept. 4, down by 0.75 cents from the previous day.
