CFR North Asia refrigerated gas prices increase on a month/ Weakening PDH margins in propylene impact the market

Propylene prices in Asia closed the week ending May 31 with little movement due to the fact that many market participants were attending a major chemical conference in South Korea. However, levels in some areas rose as a result of higher propane feedstock costs. CFR China propylene and FOB Korean propylene were $5/mt higher than the previous week, at $855/mt each, on May 31. CFR North Asia refrigerated propylene prices are up $39.50/mt from May 2, and were up 3.27 % on the month to $630.50/mt by May 31. The data also showed that CFR North Asia refrigerated propan prices were $143.50/mt more expensive year-over-year. A producer said that while the price of naphtha and propane has been strong in recent months, propylene is currently hovering at $850/mt CIF China....
