Price of India Styrene monomer falls amid ample supply / Prices rise in SE Asian market / India's sluggish demand: Sources

CFR India's styrene-monomer price was down $6.50/mt from the previous week to $1,092.50/mt. The premium over CFR China remained unchanged at CFR China plus 14/mt. Sources indicate that the market is softening due to ample availability of material. The levels corroborated were CFR China plus $13 - $18/mt. India's domestic price discussions ranged from Rupees 96 to 97/kg, ex-Kandla, which is a reduction of Rupees 2 to 3/kg compared with the previous week. Hazira was offered at Rupees 98/kg and Mumbai at Rupees 100/kg. A trader said that the Indian market was weaker because of a sluggish supply and a sluggish consumer demand.
