Asian polypropylene prices saw mixed
changes over the week to May 3, with the PP Raffia CFR Southeast Asia marker rising by $10/mt
on the week to close at $1,015/mt  while the PP Raffia CFR South Asia fell $10/mt
to close at $1,045/mt. The Chinese market saw sparse activity,
while the Chinese and Japanese trade sources were away. Domestic prices fell late
last week to around Yuan 7,500-7,580/mt as demand dried up before the holidays,
while export prospects remained limited amid flat global macroeconomics.
"There is still demand in Bangladesh, but prices have fallen to reach the
same levels as in India, while low prices of US PP have also cut netbacks for
