South Asian PP : prices unchanged despite stable fundamentals / Source : India-based sellers offer discounts to liquidate stock / Source: Demand is stable, but expected to increase in Jan

South Asian polypropylene was stable last week, despite balanced fundamentals. Market indicators were also at the same levels as they were last week. India-based trade sources said that domestic buyers were mainly dealing on the domestic market with a very low import demand. Local prices are now quite competitive. Multiple sources reported that the domestic market was experiencing new capacities and better run rates, at a period when demand is normal, which is typical of this time of year. One source said that the market will likely strengthen in January and the good season of demand will last until May.
