South Asian PP: Prices are struggling amid softening demand / CFR South Asia drops $6/mt / PP Buyers Await New Offers

South Asia raffia grade polypropylene was $989/mt August 21, down $6/mt from the previous week amid continued soft demand. An Indian PP buyer said, "We do not see any improvement in the market demand this week." He added that "downstream demand hasn't improved and we are waiting for the pre-festive buying season, which usually begins by the end or first week in September." We have not also seen an increase in demand, but we anticipate that pre-festive season buying will start soon and support prices," a Middle East PP producer said.
