Despite a variety of fundamentals, Asian
polypropylene prices remained stable to lower week over week March 29. Domestic Chinese prices
increased by Yuan 55-65/mt during the week to Yuan 7630/mt. However, South Asia
prices fell by $40-45/mt because of a growing supply. China's price fundamentals remained relatively unchanged
over the week. Stronger buying drove spot to parity in the futures markets. The domestic market price trends remained rangebound. They
fluctuated between Yuan 7,550-7600/mt for most of the week. However, they
strengthened slightly to the Yuan 7,600/mt mark earlier in the week. One source said that there are signs of stability.
