Asian ABS prices lower due to weaker feedstock prices / Input costs dropped $23.65/mt in a week / China ABS operating rates rise

The Asian acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene CFR China marker down $5/mt on the week at $1,410/mt on Nov. 13. CFR Southeast Asia was down $5/mt on a week-on-week basis at $1,425/mt. This reflects the drop in CFR China. The weakening feedstock prices upstream led to a general revision of offer levels. The raw material prices have fallen, butadiene being the biggest loser. According to a source on the market, "the constant depreciation in the RMB will also add to the cost of importers." The market fundamentals for exports to SE Asia remained relatively unchanged over the past week. This was characterized by a stable buyer demand and readily available supplies.
