On June 12, the price of low density poylethylene on an FAS Houston base was stable on both the day and the week. Asia has been heard to be interested in US-origin LDPE. Market participants were waiting for fresh offers during theweek. The overall activity during the week ending June 12 was low, as there were not many spot export offers by producers. In the next few weeks, new offers are expected. One source stated that "overall volumes are good, but not outstanding." Asia has been requesting LDPE of US origin with a melting index of 2.
