Asian Toluene prices fall after weaker discussion / Southeast Asian markets are relatively stable / Buyers wait and see approach

Toluene fell $4/mt to $741/mt F.O.B. Korea, and $6/mt to $766/mt F.O.B. China on Sept. 6, following weaker discussions. This assessment included a $740/mt bid for a 2,000-mt cargo that could be loaded in October, heard during the Market on Close process. Before the last bid was heard in the MOC process, the offers heard all day had gradually decreased. A trade for a 2,000mt cargo any-Octoberloading was reported to have been concluded at $730/mt. China domestic price talks declined throughout the day as market sources reported that the Sinopec list price for toluene in East China had been reduced by Yuan200/mt.
