Asian Caprolactam prices fall amid surplus supply- Supply from Russia is heard to be available- Low impact of lower feedstock pricesIn the week leading up to 8 June, there
were mixed signals on the Asian caprolactam markets and very few participants
reached an agreement. There
was some supply coming from Russia, but it didn't make it to the Northeast Asia
market. This resulted in a smaller range of discussion. One participant gave a trade indication of $1,570/mt, but
Russian material could be heard. Even lower. A buying signal was heard between $1,600 and $1,640/mt. China's ex-tank spot price for caprolactam was reported to
be below Yuan 12,000.00/mt (1,683.50/mt). Local
sources in Southeast Asia said that although contract prices fell, spot prices
