The Asian polypropylene price was stable from Jan. 22 to 28 due to a lack of activity during the Lunar New Year holidays and Tet holidays respectively in China and Vietnam. Indonesian public holidays also dampened the trade activity. Chinese domestic PP raffia prices ex-works were stable from day to day, but Yuan 30/mt down over the period Jan. 22-28. A number of trade sources predict that supply will be under pressure after the holiday season due to an increase in capacity in South China, and a buildup of inventory.
