In the week ending Dec. 4, China's polypropylene markets were rangebound as tightened supplies continue to counter persistently low end-market demand. China's domestic PP raffia price dropped Yuan 10/mt per day, and Yuan 7,500/mt for the entire week. A Chinese producer stated that there is no inventory pressure at the moment, but supply is fluctuating. Market participants are still pessimistic about the supply easing as new PP production capacity is expected and plant turnarounds will be completed in mid-December. CFR FE Asia raffia/injection grade PP is down $5/mt from last week to $885/mt December 4, below Middle East offers and taking into account a weaker yuan.
