Asian Toluene prices remain stable or weak / CPC issues Aug loading sell tender / Supplies exceed demand

The Asian toluene markets remained stable to weak from day to day, July 12. The FOB Korea marker was $888/mt FOB Korea. This is $1/mt less than the last 2,000-mt FOB Korea offer at $889/mt, for loading in second half August, on a letter of credit basis. There were no reported deals. There was no transparency in the bids or offers made during the Market Close assessment process. Trading sources reported that South Korea exported 11,178 mt toluene according to the preliminary import and export figures for July 1-10. Industry sources said that the majority of South Korea's exports were to India, at 7,000 mt. Vietnam purchased 2,854mt while Australia imported 1,324mt.
