Asian Orthoxylene prices fall due to weak demand / Poor demand and more supplies hamper discussion / Paraxylene and adjacent isomers prices drop on the week

Asian orthoxylene was lower during the week ending July 12, due to weaker demand and increased supplies. OX FOB China prices were unchanged from intraday afternoon values of $1,060/mt. Trading indications ranged between $1150/mt and $1050-$1 060/mt on a 90-day letter of credit. FOB Korea was stable at $1060/mt with trading indications ranging between $1150/mt & $1060/mt on a 30-day letter of credit. OX CFR Southeast Asia prices were down $10/mt compared to intraday values of $1,100/mt due to little spot interest and a weakening CFR China spread. Sources said that a cargo of 3,000 mt Singapore origin was traded at $1090/mt CFR Hazira, for loading during the second half of August.
