Asian Nylon Chain Prices Fall on Poor Outlook / Nylon-6 Prices Continue to Fall Due To Oversupply / Lower demand for adipic Acid due to China-India freight rate increase Nylon-6

FOB China nylon-6 for semi-dull and bright grades was $1,620/mt, down $45/mt in one day, and $80/mt over the course of a week. This is consistent with tradeable indications at $1615-1,627/mt. Prices for full-dull grades were also down $45/mt in one day, and $80/mt week-on-week, to $1670/mt. This was within the range of tradable indicators heard between $1,665-1,677/mt. It's not surprising that nylon-6 prices have fallen, given the lack of support from benzene and the low oil prices, as well as the abundance of supplies on the market, said a Taiwanese producer. Another market source said that the demand is low and is expected to continue for the remainder of the year.
