South Asian PP prices move up, demand improving / Consumption could improve in H2 Nov / Participants await US policy changes, China response

South Asian polypropylene was higher during the week ending Nov. 13. Market participants expect a future improvement in demand. The price of PP raffia/injection at $965/mt, CFR South Asia on Nov. 13 was up $5 from last week. This is because tradable indicators were confirmed at $960-970/mt. This assessment was higher than buying indications between $900 and $950/mt, but below selling indicators of $975 to 990/mt. Major Indian producers expect the market to remain stable or even increase. Market sources say that while buying indicators are still far below the levels at which they can be traded, the improvement in market activity over the past two weeks has led to a better appetite for buying.
