Asian orthoxylene is down $20/mt in the past week, at $840/mt for CFR China, $820/mt for FOB Korea and $10/mt at $850/mt for CFR SEA as of Nov. 29. Laycans are available for markers from Dec. 19 to Jan. 8. Sources said that the interest in buying markers on the spot market has decreased as term contract negotiations are underway. A trader said that FOB Korea prices would be between $820-830/mt. A trader stated that "[there are] no buyers right now...the PA is bad and supplies are healthy." He added that most are closing at the end of the month, so booking cargoes for December's second half will only be used to produce in January. There is no rush.
