South Asian PP prices fall due to weak demand / Limited CFR India Offers / CFR South Asia Raffia at $1,029/mt

South Asian polypropylene prices fell $10/mt during the week ending July 24, due to a lack of buying interest and a reduction in demand from buyers because of the monsoon. A buyer from India said: "There are only limited offers in the market, which are lower than last week. Some producers are expected introduce new offers next week." He also said that the buyer found it difficult to keep the material dry and store it during the monsoon. He added that many buyers had overbooked their materials, anticipating no immediate improvement in shipping conditions. As a result, they are not in a hurry to buy material. A PP manufacturer in India said that buyers are choosing to purchase domestic material because the prices are comparable to those of imported material...
