price changes in the week ending May 3. The PP Raffia CFR Southeast Asia mark
rose by $10/mt, while the PP Raffia CFR South Asia dropped $10/mt, closing at
$1.045/mt. While
the Chinese and Japanese sources of trade were on vacation, there was little
activity in the Chinese market. As demand
dwindled before the holiday season, domestic prices dropped to around Yuan
7,500/mt late last week. Export prospects were limited due to a flat macroeconomic
environment. One trader in China said that
although there is still demand for PP in Bangladesh, prices have dropped to the
