PP homopolymer raffia/injection supplies in the Chinese market were heard to have increased following scheduled maintenance. Market sources reported that PP plant operating rate had risen to 78%-79%, up from 72%-73% in the previous week. CFR China PP raffia/injection grades prices were stable on the week. In China, a trader stated that "inventory seems to be increasing due to our inabilitytoexport, freight costs are too high to competein othermarkets." In Southeast Asia, the market activity was muted after Eid al-Adha and Thailand saw lower operating rates for converters in preparation of the rainyseason.
