Asian Caprolactam prices fall as support from downstream markets fade / Benzene falls $7/mt, ammonia falls $20/mt on week / China prices rebound amid ongoing downstream expansion

The Asian caprolactam price was assessed at $1,500/mt CFR Fareast Asia for the week ending Nov. 14, a $10/mt decrease from the previous week due to weaker upstream support and weaker tradeable indicators heard. Prices were lower upstream. Benzene fell $7/mt, to $864.67/mt from FOB Korea. Ammonia CFR Fareast Asia dropped $20/mt and reached $430/mt in the week ending Nov. 14. Spot cargo demand outside China was lukewarm. Some market participants said that supply was "easily accessible." A buyer said that spot discussions were thin but buying indicators have decreased as the support from lower upstream prices has faded. Market participants reported a Yuan $50-150/mt price increase from the previous week.
