The price of propylene fell day-on-day on Nov. 20, due to a lackluster buying interest and an abundance of Japan's spot supply. Due to limited demand, Chinese buyers can negotiate, putting downward pressure on prices. Producers in Taiwan and Japan have to lowerpropylene price to match buyers' bids due to high inventory pressure. "Currently, price negotiations for [dollar-denominated]propylene cargoes in Shandong are below $820/mt," abuyeradded.However, in South Korea, the absence of December propylenesupply in the spot market resulted in limited discussions, amidongoing term supply negotiations.
