EDC: Asian EDC dichloride was unchanged in
the week of March 2, despite limited trade talks. EDC CFR Asia Asia remained at
$295-310/mt which is its highest level since October 13, 2022. According to market
sources, there was a slight shortage of feedstock chlorine and ethylene in the
EDC market. Imports from countries such as the USA were reportedly limited. CFR Northeast Asia ethylene is up $20/mt week over week at
$960/mt March 2. Sluggish buying has
slowed down demand, and some producers in the region believe that price upsides
are limited. VCM: Asian vinyl monomer
prices dropped on March 2, due to bearish sentiments from China. VCN CFRFE Asia's marker fell $20/mt on the week, closing at
$750/mt....
