On the week of March 8th, spot US export
polypropylene prices remained flat while domestic contract prices rose as
exports remained difficult due to propylene volatile and low demand. No
new spot price indications for exports were made during the March 2-8 period. Domestic contracts for
February were reported to have settled at 7 to 8 cents above January levels. Even if there is a rebound in demand , it seems likely
that you will still end up with a long supply. According to a letter to customers viewed March 6, a price
increase of 6 cents per lb will be implemented for polypropylene products sold
in North America. LyondellBasell will
increase the price of polypropylene for all products sold in North America...
