US EVA prices fall amid global oversupply / Producers heard rebalancing LDPE/EVA ratios / Pre-holiday shopping season expected to pick up in the coming weeks

The price of ethylene vinyl acetate dropped by $10/mt in the week ending August 14 due to stable fundamentals and prices. Market players are awaiting seasonal demand increases. A trader confirmed the value of medium EVA at $1,240-1,250/mt in August 13. The trader stated that there has been no change in either supply or demand in the past week. EVA manufacturers continue to adjust production to low density PE due to the ongoing shortage of PE. While it was reported that one US producer did not have EVA available this month, other producers were still producing material.
