Prices of Asian oxoalcohols were largely stable in the week ending February 6, with isobutanol and 2-ethylhexanol remaining unchanged. Dioctyl Teraphthalate and Diaoctyl Phthalate both fell by $5/mt amid low trading volume. Multiple market sources reported that 2-EH demand remained low, despite signs of bottoming. A producer stated that "2-EH's weak demand restricted any upward movement but the limited spot supply and feedstock costs supported market prices resulting in rangebound movements week over week". According to sources, despite a reduction in market supply due to planned maintenance for the next few weeks, prices were stable because a subdued price trend was preventing a potential upward price trend.
