European Glycols Barge Prices Drop Eur20/mt On Supply
Length- Trucks are still in low demand- Huge supply at barge pricesEuropean monoethylene glycol distributors
and traders admit that the demand is not responsive. According to market
sources, the combination of weak derivative demand and abundant supply has led
to delayed import resupply arriving in March. Some trucks are trading slightly higher than the Eur570/mt
FCA AR declines, but one trader stated that the trend is clearly downward. Another trader stated that "even with lower prices you
cannot increase the demand." According
to one distributor, suppliers are "struggling to sell." Spot material in the bulk market was traded at Eur520/ mt
CIF ARA. Prices were affected by the short supply of Antwerp storage tanks. The February European MEG contract settled at Eur795/mt
