South Asian PP: Buyers wait for new offers / Delivery delays continue amid container unavailability / CFR South Asia Raffia stable at $1,040/mt

South Asian polypropylene was steady in the week ending July 10. Indian buyers were waiting for new offers following a drop in demand in the region due to the monsoon. A buyer in India said "domestic demands are now softening, considering that monsoon season is already underway in India and construction activity is usually slow". He added that "buyers are waiting to see if the offers start to drop as demand taper". Middle East seller for PP stated: "We anticipate a drop in demand, especially from South Asia and India". Delivery delays are continuing due to container shortages, but the situation is expected to improve by mid-August as China's need for containers will have eased.
