South Asian PP : prices stable despite limited trading activity / Traders offer discount to Indian suppliers who are offloading stock / Sources expect the market to be back to its full power after October 31 - Oct 17, 2024

On Oct. 16, prices for South Asian polypropylene were stable on the previous week due to balanced fundamentals, and a subdued activity on the market ahead of Diwali. On Oct. 16, the PP raffia/injection was valued at $960/mt CFR South Asia, unchanged from the previous week. During the week, there were few new offers due to a subdued market. This week, the adjacent PP grades such as BOPP, COPOL and IPP film were also assessed to be stable. Market sources stated that "end-users have already removed material to meet demand around festivals." The finished products are on the shelves.
