In the week ending June 26, Asian polypropylene market activity was mixed. Prices in China remained rangebound, despite an initial surge of demand. However, Southeast Asia only saw limited purchasing. China's domestic PP raffia prices were influenced by the fluctuations on the futures markets to settle at Yuan 7,700/mt. This was unchanged for the day, but down Yuan $30/mt from the week ending June 26. Market sources claim that Chinese PP demand re-emerged early this week, as converters replenished their stocks and prices dropped.
