The Asian toluene market was mixed on March 14. Prices were $9/mt below the previous close of $690/mt FBO Korea, and $2/mt above the previous price at $731/mt FBO China. During the Market on Close process, there were no transparent offers or bids. On the FOB Korean market, in the morning, a firm bid of $690/mt was heard for a 2,000-mt cargo, loading second-half April. During the morning session, no return bids were made. FOB Korea was valued at $690/mt. This is up $1/mt compared to intraday levels. This reflects the stronger benzene, paraxylene and other adjacent markets.
