In the week ending March 12, Asian polypropylene market conditions were mostly stable or slightly weak, reflecting the market sentiment in Vietnam. The block copolymer market values increased due to higher price discussions against the raffia quality. In Indonesia, the lack of interest in buying remains due to the looming restrictions on roads ahead of Ramadan. These restrictions will increase the cost of goods and complicate cargo deliveries from March 5 until April 21. Hyosung Vina Chemicals in Vietnam, a subsidiary of South Korea’s Hyosung Chemicals and a fully owned subsidiary, restarted a line of two polypropylene lines on March 5, while the second PP unit would be restarted by March 25.
