Asian Polyoxymethylene prices on the rise due to firmer offers / Global suppliers increase offers on China's domestic market / Downstream operations will gradually resume after Spring Festival

Polyoxymethylene CIF China increased by $10/mt in price week-over-week to $1,550/mt on February 12, matching a trade at this level, and slightly below an offer of around $1,570/mt. Foreign and domestic producers are both heard raising their prices on the Chinese domestic market to respond to China's new antidumping measures that took effect Jan. 24. The price increases by domestic producers, which ranged from Yuan 300 to 500/mt were much more modest than those of global suppliers who increased prices up to Yuan 2000/mt on the Chinese market since before the Lunar New Year. A Northeast Asian producer stated, "We have increased prices for the Chinese market because the Japanese, EU and US-origin POM manufacturers have new antidumping duty, and we are also responding to the market trend."
