Asian polypropylene market was slightly softened to stable during the week of Sept. 11, due to rangebound discussions and limited room for price decreases despite slow demand. The buying interest in polypropylene slowed in the weeks leading up to Sept. 10. However, some replenishing demand appeared in the Chinese domestic market in the last week of the previous week following a drop in prices in the middle week. Few sources reported that buyers will not be able continue to stay on the sidelines while stockpiles diminish, so the price drop was seen as an opportunity to replenish, even though trading activity slowed down after the buying wave.
