Asia's polypropylene market was mixed. The China market declined in the week ending Sept. 4, on weaker sentiments. Southeast Asia markets were largely stable, as traders remained on their sidelines because of unchanged demand-supply dynamics. China's sentiments deteriorated due to concerns arising from the recent price declines in the upstream oil complex. This led to a sharp drop in both the Chinese PP spot and futures prices. China domestic raffia dropped Yuan 80/mt per day or Yuan140/mt per week to Yuan7,460/mt September 4. The November ICE Brent crude futures dropped $3.76/b compared to the previous close of $73.24/b at 4:30 pm Singapore Time (0830 GMT) on September 4.
