Asian PP - Soft demand continues to impact market activity / Supply glut continues driving price pressure in SE Asia / China domestic PP raffia prices rise by Yuan 60/mt in a week

Asian PP markets were soft to stable in the week ended July 31. Prices in China fluctuated with the domestic futures market, but prices in Southeast Asia were lower due to weak demand. China's PP raffia prices at the factory were Yuan 60/mt higher on July 31 than they were the previous day, and Yuan 10/mt higher on the previous week. The spot market was unchanged. According to data gathered from the market, Chinese PP plants are operating at an estimated rate of 75%. CFR China PP raffia/injection PP price was up $5/mt for the day, but steady on the week.
