Sources said that firmer upstream costs and lower supply due tomaintenance-led shutdowns had lent some support to domestic prices on the day. Trade sources say that although market activity in Southeast Asia increased following the celebrations in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand, offer levels remained the same. "There haven't been many bookings because of the holidays,"a South Asian producer said.In Vietnam, however, trade sources said domestic offer levelswere reduced drastically on April 15 amid continued dong'sdepreciation.As a result, bids for import cargoes were heard at lower prices,Vietnam-based sources said.Other regional sellers retained their offer prices, preferring totake a wait-and-see approach, citing tensions in the Middle East.
