Asian PVC prices stable at $30/mt after June offer announcement / June's offers exceed market expectations / CFR India hits 8-month high due to falling China supply

After fresh offers were announced for June, the price of Asian polyvinyl was raised by $30/mt. This is higher than what market expectations had been. CFR China PVC increased by $10/mt on May 15 to $785/mt, while CFR Southeast Asia remained at $780/mt. CFR India's price is $30/mt more than last week, at $830/mt on May 15. This is the highest level since September 20, 2023 when the price was set at $850/mt. The market sentiment has firmed up after the announcement of a new offer for June. PVC offers were increased by $20-$30/mt from May. According to some market sources, high freight rates and the lack of ex-China cargoes also drove up the CFR Indiamarket this week.
