Asian PP : Asian markets mixed due to low activity during
the holiday season- Vietnam market unaffected by NSRP’s financial woes- South Asia stable due to domestic pricesThe Asian polypropylene market was stable
or higher on April 25. The PP Raffia FE Asia mark rose by $5/mt to close the
week at $920/mt. Both
domestic and CFR prices in China were rangebound before the Golden Week
holiday, which runs from April 29 through May 3. China-origin PP Raffia cargoes are still being offered at
$1,020-$1,030/mt by Chinabased traders, but buyer resistance remains strong. One China-based trader stated that "nothing has changed
regarding demand. We are asking downstream buyers whether they have a buying appetite,
but so far feedback is not favorable." China's PP industry continues to struggle due to poor
