Asian ethylene prices remained steady at
$940/mt CFR Northeast Asia on April 3, and $960/mt CFR Southeast Asia on April
3. This was due to volatile naphtha prices within the upstream market. Participants in the market were cautious and
decided to wait and see after key OPEC allies, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Russia,
announced April 2 that they planned more than 1.6million b/d of voluntary
supply reductions. The bulk of these cuts will begin in May and continue until
2023. Northeast Asia producer said that OPEC+ and its
allied producers would cause more uncertainty and fear in an already uncertain
