The price of MTBE rose on the day by 2.54 cents/gal (0.95%) amid increased gasoline prices and buying and selling activity. During the Market on Close process, a bid at July RBOB + 27 cents/gal moved up to July RBOB + 28.5 cents/gal. An offer was also seen moving from July RBOB + 40 cents/gal down to July RBOB + 39 cents/gal. No trades were made during the session because the offer and bid did not converge to a level that could be traded. The MTBE differential increased by 1.15 cents/gal for the day to plus 28,55 cents/gal. The market in Europe remained oversupplied as a result of imports arriving in April and may.
