Prices remain stable at $1,500/mt / Market faces tight supply

The price of acrylonitrile on a FOB basis from the US Gulf Coast was stable for the week ending April 16. Contract levels in the domestic market were also stable. This is the third consecutive week with stable spot prices. There have been no significant changes in the market fundamentals. One trade was reported for a 1,000-mt parcel at $1,500/mt. Spot ACN was flat for the week at the trade level. ACN domestic contracts were also flat on the week. Calculated at 82.75cents/lb. According to sources, there is no inventory but it's expected that domestic ACN producers will slowly begin production after recent turnarounds. This will contribute to the supply building. Sources said that exporting was still very difficult due to the high US ACN price and that US markets...
