The European glycols markets were stable during the week
ending May 26. Price recovery that had been seen at the beginning of the Month
stalled due to the supply-length. As consumers were able to choose from a variety of suppliers, truck prices
were slightly below Eur500/mt. Some distributors and traders stated that although trade was heard at
Eur490/mt FCA Antwerp in some European regions they were losing sales over the
Eur460-480/mt area as buyers were looking for Eur460/mt FCA. Sources cited macroeconomic concerns, such as inflation and interest rate
increases. Market participants were not optimistic about the demand going into
summer, a key season. The material is still too long, and the imports from US [Saudi Arabia] and
Saudi Arabia...
